Elisabeth is a communications and advocacy specialist and has previously worked as an advocacy and communications officer in three Research Non-Government Organisations. All her placements entailed the creation of communication and advocacy products on a wide range of issues including education, health, environmental protection, and natural resources management. Such materials included, policy position papers, policy briefs, documentaries, newsletters, blogs, websites, spot messages, and other communication materials used to raise awareness on the respective issues. These were disseminated to both national and international level audiences. Besides, she drafted advocacy and communication strategies for 3 organizations during her tenures and trained teams on to ensure implementation of the same.
A VSO International 2019 award winner under “the building resilient communities” category owing to her work mobilizing volunteers and fundraising during the Cyclone Idai Response drive in Mozambique.
Currently working as the National Communications Expert with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in Mozambique.
